The Corpus Christi Tritons were a new team to arena football in 2025. The first-year franchise went 3-7 and fell to eventual champion Albany 100-12 in their first of two regular season meetings. Fred Payton Jr. quarterbacked the team the entire season, passing for 1,559 yards and 28 scores to 12 INTs. He also carried for ten scores. Quintavius Workman and Richy Anderson II were the top receivers for the team, hauling in eight touchdowns apiece. Statistics were incomplete for recievers. The team won its first three games in franchise history, before dropping the last seven in a row. Despite the losses, the team did put up some good fights, falling 44-39 to eventual runners-up Nashville Kats.
