The Tallahassee Thunder was another one of the original franchises that never really seemed to catch on. After a miserable first season, the Thunder finished 11-5 in 2001 but were then bounced in the first round of the playoffs by Tennessee Valley. The Thunder reached the playoffs again in their final year, but managed only three home crowds over 3,000 fans. The team would fold following another one and done in the playoffs.
