The Pharaohs didn't stay in Memphis very long. Their first season ended at 6-6 with a playoff berth. The team played their only playoff game at Tampa Bay and lost, 53-41. In 1996, the team did not win a game. Only four of the losses were by eight points or less. The franchise then moved to Portland and later, Oklahoma. Arena football returned to Memphis in 2001, with the Xplorers, who are still in existence.
