The West Texas Desert Hawks were a new team for the AFL's troubled 2024 incarnation. The team got out to a 3-1 start, defeating Orlando on the road and then losing to them at home. The team suffered a one point defeat at league-leading Albany and then lost to Billings by 7. Following a 73-70 overtime loss at home to Albany, the team folded with just two games remaining and a probable playoff berth on the line.
