The Raleigh Rebels won three games in their first season. However, two of the wins were forfeits, due to the AIFL Ghostriders having no home arena. The only real win came against the Canton Legends, 50-28. In their playoff game, the Rebels lost to the other 3-7 team, the Canton Legends. In 2006, the Rebels weren't much better. The team lost four of their last six, including two overtime decisions. The Rebels got into the playoffs and were awarded a forfeit victory because Richmond left the league. The Rebels were then destroyed by Rome the following week. After the 2006 season, the Rebels left the AIFL to help form the World Indoor Football League.
