The Wasilla based Arctic Predators were a troubled AIFA West expansion team in 2010. The team was originally scheduled to play in the IFL, but was rejected for financial issues. As a member of the AIFA, the team had to pay for all visiting team expenses, which ultimately contributed to the team's demise. Damian Ward was the primary quarterback, throwing for 801 yards, 21 scores, and just five picks. Dante Jones and Andrew Velazquez led the receiving corps, combining for 636 yards and 16 scores. The team did manage two wins against Yakima Valley and Wenatchee Valley, but played only one league game afterwards. The problems began when the team failed in two attempts to fly Wyoming in to play. The team ended up defeating a semi-pro Anchorage based team twice in a row by scores of 98-6 and 67-8 before the team cancelled its remaining two home games and season. A squad of replacement players used the Wasilla name in a final week game in Wenatchee Valley.
