The team did not qualify for the playoffs, going 0-6 against teams that made the postseason. The Haymakers returned to action in 2014 and went 5-7 in the regular season. However, they were 0-6 against teams that would make the playoffs, showing no improvement from the previous year. Chuck Wright quarterbacked the majority of the season, throwing for 1,718 yards, 35 touchdowns and 11 picks. Nick Rhodes was on the receiving end of 19 of those scores on 54 catches. Travis Ribbing led the team in rushing with 11 touchdowns and 479 yards. The team was held under 20 points three times on the season, including the first two games of the year against Wichita and Sioux City. A bright spot for the team was going 43/45 on extra points thanks to kicker Benny Hanaphy.
