The Amarillo Dusters began their lone IFL season at 4-3, before winning nine straight games to end up at first place. The team scored more than 70 points in eight of their games, including four in a row to end the regular season. After taking care of San Angelo, the Dusters beat the Lubbock Lone Stars for the Itnese Bowl championship. Earlier in the year, San Angelo beat the Dusters for the Intense Bowl Championship. The score, 62-47, was the same score by which Lubbock beat the Dusters in week seven of the regular season.
