The Louisiana Bayou Beast won the first and only PIFL Championship game. After an incredible regular season, which consisted of just one loss to Colorado, the Beast enterred the postseason on a nine game winning streak (one of them a forfeit). The Beast defeated the Madison Mad Dogs, 42-41 for the Championship. The Beast was the only team to survive PIFL's chaotic season and end up in the IPFL. Unfortunately, the success didn't carry over. The team finished at 6-10 and promptly moved to the NIFL following the 1999 season.
