The Mobile Seagulls played a single season in the IPFL. Despite ending their season on a two game winning streak, the team lost a three-team tiebreaker with Mississippi and Omaha and was left onthe outside looking in on the playoffs. The Seagulls moved to the NIFL in 2001 and then a Mobile franchise surfaced in the af2 for one year.
