The Utah Catzz started the season with two wins over Minnesota and Texas. However, two of their final three victories would come via forfeits. Like the other teams, the Catzz struggled on and off the field with financial problems. The team forfeited it's final game of the season and then did something unique. Instead of just folding, the team began their own semi-pro league. The Utah Indoor Football League continues play and as of this writing, is in the middle of its seventh season.
