The Daytona Beach Hawgs completed a successful first season in the NIFL. The season was mostly a rollercoaster, with wins over Rome and losses to teams like Miami. The Hawgs shutout the New Jersey Xtreme, 54-0. The Hawgs would have qualified for a playoff spot, but were suspended for rules violations. The franchise joined the American Indoor Football League for 2006 and became the Thunder.
