The Everett Hawks are one of the best stories in the NIFL, with one of the saddest endings. The team was undefeated in the regular season, with an average margin of victory of 25 points. Their closest encounter with a loss was a 64-62 defeat of the Tri-Cities Fever. In the playoffs, the Hawks took out the Billings Mavericks, 97-60. However, the Tri Cities Fever would again face the Hawks, this time to end their season. The Fever squeaked out a 54-52 win to knock Everett from the ranks of the unbeaten. Following this incredible season, the franchise left the NIFL for the AF2.
