The Johnstown J-Dogs completed their first and only season with a 10-4 record, finishing second in their division to the Ohio Valley Greyhounds. The J-Dogs played their only playoff game on the road at Mississippi. The Firedogs knocked the J-Dogs out of the Indoor Bowl hunt, 42-27. The Johnstown franchise folded after the 2001 season. Indoor football returned to Johnstown in 2005, with the Johnstown RiverHawks of the AIFL.
