The Myrtle Beach Stingrays were plagued by road woes. In 2003, the team was 5-8; five of the losses were away from South Carolina. The offense for the Stingrays managed a high of just fifty points. After 2003, the team almost folded, but was able to move to Florence, South Carolina to play in the 2004 season. However, the team still finished below the .500 mark and lost three of their five home games. The team ended their season with four straight losses. After the 2004 season, the Carolina Stingrays folded. Florence will have an AIFL team in 2006.
