The Oklahoma Crude was the worst franchise in NIFL history, until quite recently. The team’s first season contained just one game compared to thirteen losses. The lone victory came against Houma. The team was blown out by just about all of their opponents, but the Crude did participate in one of the lower-scoring games in indoor history; a 19-10 loss to Tupelo. In 2003 the team won two games, both at home. The team’s third year was just as miserable as the previous two, with the team back to winning just one game. (against Waco again) Following these three miserable seasons, the franchise was sold and moved to Rome, Georgia. The team won seven games in the regular season, three more than their last three seasons combined. The Renegades also made the playoffs and were quite the surprise to many NIFL fans. The Renegades breezed past Lakeland and then won close games on the road at Montgomery and Cincinnati. The dream season came to an end by way of a 47-31 loss in the Indoor Bowl to Tri Cities. Following the 2005 season, the franchise moved to the American Indoor Football League
