The San Angelo Stampede had a dismal first season, as many expansion teams do. The Stampede came to the NIFL from the now defunct Intense Football League. The team managed to defeat Lubbock, Lakeland, and Billings for their three victories. Following the 2005 season, the franchise returned to the Intense Football League.
