The Colorado Ice began as many expansion teams do. The team was rather subpar, winning just one road game at Sioux City. Three Ice quarterbacks combined for 24 touchdowns and 18 interceptions. The team qualified for the playoffs and took a trip to Sioux Falls, losing 44-16. In 2008, the Ice played their first four games of the year on the road, losing three of them. The team never recovered. The team did win six games and won many of them convincingly, including wins at Billings and home to Sioux Falls. However, losses were usually blowouts. Statistics were skewed due to this fact, as the team only gave up 40 more points than it scored.
