The Marion Blue Racers were a 2012 UIFL expansion team. Boo Jackson and Josh Harris quarterbacked the team to a 7-4 regular season record, throwing for over 2,200 yards, 49 touchdowns and 29 picks. Brandon Williams, Melvin Bryant, Travis Lewis led the wide receivers, combining for 18 scores. Marcus Dorsey picked off 13 balls. The team finished its regular season with an overtime win over Erie. They would play again the following week in the first round of the playoffs. Marion led 47-34 going to the fourth quarter, but Erie would rally for 22 unanswered points and a 56-47 victory.
