The Osceola Ghostriders moved to the WIFL from the sinking NIFL. The team was unable to put together two consecutive wins all season, but managed to make the playoffs at 6-8. The team would play at Augusta. Augusta won the regular season series between the two teams, 3-2. The Spartans also defeated the Ghostriders, 25-19 for a spot in Columbus in the World Indoor Bowl.
